 Students create their own school timetables using the subjects labels provided. They need to decide the day and time they are going to study the different subjects and decide a new subject for their schools.

Welcome back to school

 This school year is full of colours and new expectations. The school proyect´s name is : "BE PART OF A COLOURFUL WORLD"

We will focus on different cultures and continents to learn about : traditions, food, schools, routines, environment.....

Our ideal timetables

 Students decide how their ideal school schedules are. They should choose days and time and also they can choose subjects they would like to have.

Speaking

During this first speaking class, we talk about our summer holidays and create rules  for English class. In groups they decide about positive and negative rules and then we discuss them to decide which 8 ones are the most appropiate for the English class this year.

Finally, they create a collaborative poster.

6th level students give personal information using numbers.

 

 

What do you know about your teacher?

Children talk about themselves, but they don´t know a lot about the teacher. It is the moment to develop reading skill using some information about her.  Students read the text and complete the information in the chart.

On Thursday, students develop writing skill. Today, they have one activity  to develop not only writing but also creativity.

Creating rules for school

Our students think about the importance of having rules in society and in school.
Then, they write in groups, using "rotating paper" cooperative technique, the rules they consider as  necessary for them in school.

 

Oral activities

First, 5th level students do a picture dictation to revise the contents "there is and there are". The teacher and students describe a room, and then they draw a picture. 

  In this second activity, students in groups have to complete a writing activity about school. 

We continue practicing contents using a spot the differences activity. Students in pair try to find 8 differences in their pictures.

Grammar time!

Today, our students learn how to describe a place around them. Grammar and new vocabulary are necessary for our students to develop the next activities and lesson.

Let´s scavenger!!

Using scavengers in class is full of fun. Today, we use a scavenger to make students cooperate in groups, use English in a ludic context and check their previous knowledge about simple school vocabulary .

What is there in your ideal bag?

Draw and write about what would you carry in your ideal bag. A ball? a mobile phone? a laptop? a boardgame? books? ...

               

 

Our ideal school lap books

Students create their ideal school lap books :

• First, they decide in groups different aspects about their ideal schools. 
• They write about their decisions.
• Thirdly, the teacher explains how to create a lap book: concept, material, design...
• Then, they plan how to create their lap books.
• They organize their responsibilities and roles in the group.
• They choose the material they need to make the lap book and start doing it.
• Then, they present it to the rest of the classmates and we make an exposition in the school hall. 
• Finally, they evaluate this activity using the extra copy and write, at least ,three new words they have learnt in this project.
