Women´s day

 Today, all the students of the school show their displays about important explorers and discoverers women.

They create their expositions and talk about these women to the rest of students who walk around the stands.

 She was the first woman to travel around the World. A men world, where she had to dress up as a man to go by ship because women were not allowed to go in.

She was a great botanist and she collected and studied more than 6000 types of different plants.

Beatriz Romera´s visit

 The painter, Beatriz Romera has visited our school exposition for the women day and she has shown her beautiful artwork. She has explained how she paints, her techniques and materials. Students love this activity and they have asked lots of interesting questions.

Collaborative presentations

 Students create collaborative presentations about women painters. In groups of 4 students they read the biography of famous female artists and create presentations using Google slides.

Women day scavenger

 Students play a Scavenger about famous Women who changed and change the World. They have to find the information they need to complete the activity. The group who gets it first will be the winner.

Biography organizers

Students start to write their first biographies with the help of organizers. For this activity, we are going to use the cooperative technique 1-2-4.

• First, students read the same text (10 min) about a famous woman. They can underline main ideas and also take some notes.
•  Second, each student save their reading worksheet in their folders and start to complete the writing organizers. (8min)
• When they finish this part of the activity ( 6 min) , they work in pairs and do the same in order to complete their organizers with more information. 
• Finally, in gorups of 4, they add their charts with the information of the rest of their mates. (5 min)
