This week, we are learning about time and daily routines. At the end of the week, students create a paper bag pirate using the techniques and materials they prefer.
Previously, they wrote a text about the pirate daily routines, so they include the paper inside the bag so they can read or talk about what their pirates do everyday.
This is a creative activity which includes writing, reading and speaking skills.
Students practice questions and answer about daily routines and they play with spinners to talk about daily routines.
Practicing present simple with games is really funny.
For this activity, students have to develop their creativity. They will dessign a clock to use in class and practice time. The clock will have a dessign related to sea.

This year, our students have created a great Christmas scene related to our school project : The Sea.
They have painted wooden figures, created the oyster manger, made sailing ships with pirates, added a background with craft paper fish.... I think the result is awesome!!
Give children a small idea, and they will give it back bigger and nicer.
For this challenge, students have to be very creative and sarcastic. They create funny memes related to the sea.
Here, we are some examples of our students creations.
Children give directions and use Beebot to discover different sea animals.
Students, in groups, take decisions about their islands rules. They write them and show to the other pirates.
Today, students do two different activities:
- First, the native speaker did a picture dictation. Students listen to the directions and draw what she said. We used vocabulary related to pirates and sea; and followed directions.
- Second, students write a short text about what they see through their spyglass.
Students create pirate portraits using oil crayons colors. When they finish their portraits, they have to write a text about their pirates.
- Name, age
- Phisical description.
- Personality
- Extra information: country, job, family....
Students use different types of reading texts:
- The first text it is a reading text about pirates. They ask questions to check their understanding about the text.
- The second text is a map grid reading. They don´t have a text but they have to read the information they find in the map.
To develop a good reading competence and skill, students should face to different types of reading activities for them open their minds and reading strategies.
Students make some Halloween recipes following instructions of a cooking web. It is a funny activity to develop reading skills.
Students create this funny craft and talk about the haunted house. It is full of monsters, ghosts and creepy creatures.

Students practice writing skills thinking about their ideal pirate islands. They write short texts about which natural elements they can find in their islands, what they can eat there, or about the treasures there are.
They are really creative!
During this school year, and as a part of our service project "Cerebro, corazón...¡acción!", children have to get these challenges to reduce the use of plastic in their house and daily life.
They will show us how they get it, sending images and creating their own photocall displays.
This is a nice craft to make with students. They can do it in a collaborative pair work and talk about what is under the sea.
Students learn about dolphins reading a text. They read it individually and then they have to underline the main ideas.
Finally, the 4 members of the group discuss and write the most important data and information on they dolphin writing template.
Students play a boardgame to make and answer questions. It is the momment to give personal information about them.
