Our project about cities and towns is growing day by day. Students are learning a lot . Using art and crafts helps them to scaffold their learning in a meaningful way.

Challenge: City word cloud

This challenge is very nice. Children create Word clouds using vocabulary about town and city. To do this challenge follow these instructions:

• First, watch the tutorial video.
• Second, go to Image chef and create your own word mosaic or cloud.
• Write lots of vocabulary about city and town .
• Choose some shape you like
• Choose your colors, type of letters....
• When you finish, save it and send it to the teacher mail.

Challenge 7: writing an email

This challenge helps students to learn how to write an e - mail using the correct vocabulary and linguistic structures. To get an extra point, students need to :

• Watch the tutorial video ( it´s an example of sending an e-mail)
• Send an e-mail to English teacher . It´s very important that your   e-mail has:
• Subject 
• Greetings 
• Introduction ( name, age, city, school...)
• Your description
• Your daily routines
• Extra information 
• Say goodbye to the teacher. Be polite!!!

Writing an e-mail

Students learn and practice e-mails writings. They follow instructions to complete the writing prompt. They need to check:

• the spelling
• writing linguistic structures
• punctuation marks.
• presentation.

Speaking activity

Students practice questions with the verb "have got" using a very simple speaking activity. They make questions to their friends and then , they will write the information in a puzzle worksheet to complete their group information.

To start our project, students will watch this tale about the differences between countryside and town. Then, they will talk about what they prefer and why and they will do some worksheets about that.

Our school year project!!

This year , we are going to focus our attention on a project about our city . Its name is "Lorca, an amazing town". We are going to learn about monuments, giving directions, its history and traditions.... It´s a really interesting project that students will love.
