Creating lapbooks about explorers

 A great way to revise all the explorers we have learnt about is using lapbooks. In groups of 4 or 5 students, each of them will create a lapbook about a different explorer using the information they already know.

Planning our ideal trip

 Students practice future plans by creating their lapbooks about their ideal trip to a Mediterranean country.

They have to decide about:

- What they are going to wear

- What they are going to eat

- What they are going to do there....

When they have decided all theses aspects , they will create their lapbooks. It is a group task where they have to organize their roles and take decisions in common.

Lap books: All about me!

 6th level children create beautiful lapbooks about themselves. Using these books we revise all the contents we have studied: 

- descriptions

- comparatives and superlatives

- present simple, past and future.

- likes and dislikes.

- family

- house and city....

Women´s day

Today Women´s day is celebrated. Let´s watch this video and learn about influential women in the history. Answer to these questions:

• Do you know any woman who inspire you?
• Do you think women and men have the same right?
• Can you do the same things as a boy?

Can you find important information behind these QR codes? During the history, we can find lots of influential women but most of the time we don´t know them. Discover very interesting information about these women.

 

Then, 6th level students create lapbooks with the information they learnt about these influential women.

Our ideal school lap books

Students create their ideal school lap books :

• First, they decide in groups different aspects about their ideal schools. 
• They write about their decisions.
• Thirdly, the teacher explains how to create a lap book: concept, material, design...
• Then, they plan how to create their lap books.
• They organize their responsibilities and roles in the group.
• They choose the material they need to make the lap book and start doing it.
• Then, they present it to the rest of the classmates and we make an exposition in the school hall. 
• Finally, they evaluate this activity using the extra copy and write, at least ,three new words they have learnt in this project.
