What can you see?
Today, students do two different activities:
- First, the native speaker did a picture dictation. Students listen to the directions and draw what she said. We used vocabulary related to pirates and sea; and followed directions.
- Second, students write a short text about what they see through their spyglass.

ARRR! pirates portraits
Students create pirate portraits using oil crayons colors. When they finish their portraits, they have to write a text about their pirates.
- Name, age
- Phisical description.
- Personality
- Extra information: country, job, family....

Ahoy!! We are pirates
Students use different types of reading texts:
- The first text it is a reading text about pirates. They ask questions to check their understanding about the text.
- The second text is a map grid reading. They don´t have a text but they have to read the information they find in the map.
To develop a good reading competence and skill, students should face to different types of reading activities for them open their minds and reading strategies.
