Cooperative reading

 After watching the video of Marco Polo, students read a text about this famous explorer and using markers they underline the most important information. 

Then, they  complete the biography facts without looking at the text information. In groups, they discuss what  they should write in each box. This activity is a good way to do a cooperative reading where all the members of the group can remember different information and give ideas to the group.

Collaborative presentations

 Students create collaborative presentations about women painters. In groups of 4 students they read the biography of famous female artists and create presentations using Google slides.

Speaking

During this first speaking class, we talk about our summer holidays and create rules  for English class. In groups they decide about positive and negative rules and then we discuss them to decide which 8 ones are the most appropiate for the English class this year.

Finally, they create a collaborative poster.

               

Cruising the Mediterranean Sea

 Students create cooperative presentations using Google presentations in their Chromebooks. 

- They enter in their Classroom websites and each group chooses a country of the Mediterranean Sea.

-  Then, they click on the link to search information related to facts, food, bordering countries, sports...

- Each student create a different page in the presentation.

- With all the information they have learnt, they complete a little lapbook (suitcase model by Ideas de clase)

- Finally, they show their works to all their classmates. 

Creating a healthy menu

 Students create their healthy menu using Google docs. They collaborate to complete their menus. They have to take into acoount the Food pyramid. 

- First, they watch the video about Food Pyramid.

- Second, they go to their Classroom website activity.

- Finally, they complete their groups menus.

Cooperative writing

In groups of 4 students, they have to write a questions for each WH question bubble. 

- First, they have 3 minutes to do it.

- Then, they change the paper and they write new questions in the new worksheet. They can´t repeat their friend´s questions.

- Now, they repeat the same but they have only 2 minutes to write new questions.

- Papers go around the groups 5 times.

-  Finally, we read all the questions and correct them.

 Students read and learn about jellyfish.

- In groups of 4 students, they read different fact cards about jellyfish.

- Then,  they will talk about what they have learnt.

- Finally, they write the most important information on the jellyfish tentacles.

Students, in groups, create their own islands. They should think about lots of things to survive. 

- They should describe their islands.

- They should list the most important items to have.

- Finally, they should think about their daily routines to survive.

Our island rules

 Students, in groups, take decisions about their islands rules.  They write them and show to the other pirates. 

Now, students use their Chromebooks to create wonderful inphografics about their island´s rules.

Cooperative reading task

 Students learn about dolphins reading a text. They read it individually and then they have to underline the main ideas.

 It is windy and very cold now. It is winter time! We are going to write about it.

Students write about some suspects using "pair dictation technique". In pairs, students say a sentence to their mates and they write them down. They have to use comparatives in all their sentences.
