Challenge: Describing my favorite room ( 5th level)

  • Third,  upload YOUR PHOTO from your computer.
  • Then, add some tags with text about your body parts.

Challenge 13: Voki

This challenge is really funny . You will create an Avatar using the app Voki. Follow these instructions:

  • Watch the tutorial video
  • Click on Voki link
  • Register in Voki ( regístrate si no lo estás y si estás ya registrado mete tu Login y contraseña)
  • Create an avatar about the characters of the "Around the World " novel
  • Choose a character and customize it 
  • Then and a text and choose the voice

Giving and following directions



This is a very funny activity. Students , in groups, read the following instructions and directions and  follow them. When finishing , they will write their own directions in a small white blackboard and the other groups will have to do it.

In this challenge, we are going to create word clouds ( nubes de palabras) . It is super simple and it is really useful to learn vocabulary.

Learning about Philleas Fogg´s travel


Students search information about which countries Philleas Fogg travels across and we create a map using Google maps.

  1. In groups, they give  feedback about which countries they think Philleas Fogg travels to go around the World.
  2. Then, we give them a map to search the real information and draw the real line form the  map that is in the school hall.
  3. After that, we give our students a big globe for them to write the name of the continents and they draw a line for Philleas Fogg´s travel.
  4. We enter in my google maps account and all together create this map in which kids give us the information they want about the countries.

Countries scavengers


Esta es una actividad muy completa en la que nuestros alumnos deberán trabajar en grupos de forma cooperativa . Deberán seguir los siguientes pasos:

Cada grupo de alumnos tendrán un país sobre el que deberán buscar información. Los países seleccionados serán aquellos por lo que pasa Phileas Fogg en su viaje: UK, Francia, Italia, Egipto, India, China, Japón y USA

  • Primero, los grupos deberán decidir el rol de sus miembros: 2 buscadores de información, 2 creadores de la presentación. Todos serán portavoces cuando deban llevar a cabo la presentación frente a los compañeros.
  • Posteriormente, se sentarán de dos en dos en cada ordenador . Los alumnos del mismo grupo deberán estar en ordenadores contiguos.
  • Los alumnos leen la información que deberán buscar ( ficha ) y en grupo deciden cómo organizar su trabajo.
  • Les ofreceremos varias páginas en las que pueden encontrar la información .
  • Mientras que los encargados de buscar la información están en su tarea, los encargados de crear la presentación deberán: elegir la app con la que lo harán, y comienzan a crear diapositivas con las imágenes necesarias ( bandera, mapa, ....) para separar cada sección de la que posteriormente hablarán en clase.

OUR HALLOWEEN RECIPES



  • Children investigate how to create a Halloween recipe. 
  • Then, they choose the vocabulary and structures they need to make their recipes
  • Later, they write their recipes in a cooperative way 
  • They organize their roles in the group
  • They record their recipes and bring them to school 
  • They explain in class how to make their recipes 
  • Their mates and the teacher can make questions about it.
