Qr codes detectives reading

Students complete a famous detectives album searching information through  QR codes. They use mobile devices to read QR codes and go to the webs provided. Then, they complete the information they need and stick the image of the famous detective.

Women´s day

Today Women´s day is celebrated. Let´s watch this video and learn about influential women in the history. Answer to these questions:
  • Do you know any woman who inspire you?
  • Do you think women and men have the same right?
  • Can you do the same things as a boy?




Can you find important information behind these QR codes? During the history, we can find lots of influential women but most of the time we don´t know them. Discover very interesting information about these women.

 


Then, 6th level students create lapbooks with the information they learnt about these influential women.

Challenge: QR Codes

This week challenge is Creating QR codes. For this challenge you need:
- a computer
- a mobile phone (to read your QR code)

Follow these intructions to create your QR code:
  • Enter in QRcode Generator
  • Choose TEXT 
  • Write a text about you: your name, age, description, likes and dislikes...
  • Generate QR Code and download it
  • Send it to your teacher mail.
  • That´s all!

Challenge: Creating QR

5th level students

This is a very simple challenge. Students create QR codes about their favorite animals.
Instructions:
  1. Which animal do you like?
  2. Go to Google and write QR code generator
  3. Write a short text about your animal and generate the QR code. 
  4. Send it to the teacher´s mail.
  5. That´s all!!

6th level students

Create a QR code using regular verbs to write sentences about past.
  1. Write 8 sentences.
  2. Use these verbs to write the sentences in past: played, talked, walked, phoned, cried, washed, jumped, cleaned.
  3. Use adverbs of time such as:  yesterday, last week, last month, two days ago....
  4. Revise your sentences and check them.
  5. When you finish it, send your QR code to the teacher´s mail.

Challenge: QR generator

This challenge is really interesting!! Children learn how to create a QR code. At the moment, students can read these type of codes, but they don´t know how to create them. To do it, they need to follow these instructions carefully:

1. Watch the tutorial video.
3. Choose text mode and write a text about: ( choose only 1 topic)
  • You
  • Your city
  • Your school
  • Your family
4. When you finish,  send it by mail to the teacher.
5. If it is correct, you will get an EXTRA POINT!!

QR scavengers

Students read information about countries using QR dice. This activity is really funny for kids who enjoy using mobile devices, and for teachers who can check the reading comprehension in class.

Challenge: Animal QR codes

Monuments of the World

Today, we learn about important monuments of the World using QR codes. Children in groups of 4 use a QR reader with tablets and they discover the names of the different monuments and the countries where they are from .

Lectura de códigos QR en el aula

 


Children learn how to use QR codes with a learning purpose. They have to investigate about some important monuments in the world. A great activity!!
