Challenges: Creating our Emoji

Today we have a really cool challenge!! Follow these instructions and create your own Bitmoji:

•  First, download the app BITMOJI in your mobile phone.Watch this tutorial video.

• Create and design your own avatar : choose your eyes, hair, mouth, clothes ...
• Choose the image you like.
• Add it to the Padlet wall and write a short text about you.
• That´s all!! It is really amazing.

• Finally, they create their own works.

5th level students  are learning about the importance of a healthy diet, the importance of eating fruit and vegetables, but can we give other uses for them?

 

 

For 6th level students, the activity is related to the way we can create reflections using paintings and a folded paper. They are really surprised with their fantastic work.

Healthy diets.

5th level students read food labels  and think about their daily habits. Then, they study the food pyramid and design their healthy menus.
4th level students show them how much sugar we eat everyday.

Importance of science.

6th level students learn about the importance of science, and how it is around us. First, teacher asks some questions to students:

• What is science?
• Where can you find science?
• How many different sciences do you know?

Writing letters to our future self!

6th level students write a letter to very special people: Themselves!!

How to get a healthy lifestyle?
What can we do to be healthy and happy?

Students watch this video and add some other tricks to be healthy. Then, in pairs, they create their inphographies to show their own tips to be healthy.

Reading food labels

Food labels can be confused if you don´t know how to read them. Let´s watch this video and learn how to do it properly.

 

Challenge: Writing an e-mail

Learning how to write an e-mail is very important. Nowadays, we write and receive lots of mails.

Follow these instructions to write a good e-mail to your English teacher :

- Complete these elements: TO and SUBJECT.

FOR 5TH LEVEL STUDENTS

• Start your mail with greetings. ( Hello,.....)
• Second, introduce yourself ( personal information)
• Then, write about your school.
• Fourth, write about your city.
• Talk about your daily routines: use in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening, at night.
• Ask three questions to the teacher.
• Finally, write a nice farewell or goodbye.

FOR 6TH LEVEL STUDENTS

Art and craft

This craft rocks!! 6th level students create wonderful cactus plants using stones and little rocks. In groups, they can decorate their pots and make a display at school hall.

 

 

5th level students use the same craft to create insects for our stone gardens. 

ETEN day!!

Today, 6th level students, have enjoyed schools exchange activities.
Our students have visited Virgen de las Huertas School to have lot of fun meeting new friends, speaking English and participating in lots of games and activities.

Future spinner

Spinners are cool!! Students love them and classrooms are full of these toys. We are going to use them in our English class for students to talk and predict their future.

What is that yellow dot?

5th level students have a great imagination and creativity!!

• First, students see  "The dot", a beautiful story about a boy who believes he can´t draw.

• Then, the teacher gives them a paper with a yellow dot on it and asks:
• What is it?
• What do you imagine?
• What can you see?

Cars, rockets, flowers, clowns.... Everything is possible with a bit of imagination.

Future

6th level students learn about future watching this video and doing activities. Then, they listen to a famous song and complete the gasps.
