Heroes are inside us. All of us are heroes. We are special, we have powers to help others: solidarity, friendship, humility, love... 

Students write creative texts about themselves as heroes.

        

 

Cooperative technique: Group of experts

Students read about some of the most famous superheroes and superheroines and create group of experts to discuss and write down all the information they have learnt about them.

Challenge: Photo editor for Christmas

It´s Christmas time and we all want to wish you merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.
Read the following directions to create a wonderful Christmas card.

1. First, go to Loonapix
2. Choose the Christmas effect or frame you prefer.
3. Upload your own photo (you can be alone in the photo or with your family and friends)
4. Save your image.
5. Download the image and send to your teacher by mail.
6. Add your image in the Padlet wall so everybody can see it.
7. That´s all!!

Happiness at Christmas

Students from 3 years old to 12  create a happy face using different art techniques: Pop art, Cubism, collages, finger paint.... We create a beautiful display at school hall and give a special certificate to the best ones.

Challenge: Making presentations

For this challenge, our students are going to use a very interesting tool to create presentations: Genially

Read this instructions and follow the different steps to create your own presentation:

1. Go and register in Genially website.
2. Choose a template to create your presentation about Christmas.
3. Create at least 7 different templates.
4. Write about what  you usually do at Christmas. Pay attention to your writing spelling! Use a dictionary if you need.
5. Choose different texts, icons, images, colors, gifs.... to make creative and attractive for the reader.
6. When you finish your presentation, share it with your teacher. 
7. That´s all!!

Challenge: Creating mind maps

For this challenge we are going to use Popplet to create Winter mind maps. Mind maps are a very useful tool for learning.

First, watch this video about Winter vocabulary. 

Now, read these instructions and follow them step by step:

1. First, go to Popplet web site and sign in it.
2. Then, click on the wall and start creating the principal idea or concept: WINTER.
3. Add an image.
4. Now, organize your mind map in different categories: clothes, food, festivals, weather, actions, objects, colors, months...
5. When you finish with all the vocabulary you know about winter (you can use a dictionary) save your creation. Try to use old and new vocabulary. 
6.  Share it and send it to your teacher´s mail.
7. That´s all!
8. Watch the tutorial video and pay attention to the instructions.

Challenge: creating avatars

For this challenge we use an app called Voki. Read these instructions and follow the steps:

1. Go to Voki website.
2. Register and log in it.
3. Choose a character similar to you. ( Don´t choose premium characters. You have to pay for them)
4. Customize them. Change the color of its eyes, hair, skin. Choose its clothing accessories, background ...
5. Then, write a text about you. You can write about your name, age, description, likes and dislikes...
6. Publish it, and copy its url. Send it to your teacher´s mail. Don´t forget writing your name and class.
